History:
A true child of the internment camp system, Beutha has no recollection of any parents and few memories of her early childhood. All she recalls is her home inside Lordamere camp, housed with the other orc children who were either orphans or separated from their parents as insurance policies for their good behavior. It is not known whether she was born into the camps or taken as a young infant separated from her parents however her estimated age leads her to believing the former.
Her youth was spent doing menial tasks of child labor in the camp, assisting the women in first aid preparations for the other inmates ( her first exposure to herb knowledge) and distributing meals and water to the adult orc workers. Survival in the camp meant she had to learn to be resourceful and opportunistic, skills she cultivated naturally.
Her world changed dramatically when a host of orcs lead by a formidable young man they called Thrall appeared one day at the gates of the camp, liberating all within. She was an adolescent of about 14 years at the time. Many perished in the fight as the more hateful of the human guards turned on the inmates when it was clear they were being overwhelmed and attempted to slaughter as many as they could. Beutha survived the carnage by hiding in the dark space under a barracks hut. After the camp was liberated the confused and bewildered inmates milled about aimlessly until gathered up and led away by Thrall.
With nobody to guide her or look towards for support, Beutha followed the main host of the orcs, snatching scraps of food when she could, doing menial tasks for the soldiers to earn a few coppers. During this long trek, the destination of which was the subject of many rumors among the camp followers, her skills at survival were further tested and tried as she fought hard to fend off all too frequent lewd advances by hot blooded soldiers. Alas, she was not successful all of the time. She struggled hard to wipe those from her memories.
Time found her in the newly established city of Orgrimmar, where still alone and homeless she inevitably became drawn into the dark underworld of the Drag. Working for various handlers she learned the talents of thievery and spying. They were cruel and merciless masters, rewarding good results with meager coin and delivering swift punishment at failure. Her world was a blur, until an opportunity came in the form of an elf woman named Solenev. Tasked to report on the woman and her associates, Beutha made contact with her and managed to infiltrate her clan. However, the gentle and kind treatment of Solenev and her friends slowly planted the seed of new possibilities in her life. She saw what one could earn for themselves with strength and freedom of will. Determined to change her life she slipped away quietly from Solenev's protection and returned to Orgrimmar. There after long search she found a blade master that would take her under his wing.
Thus began her transformation from a life long slave and servant to a free and independent young woman. She now trains and travels the world, practicing her new blade skills and making new acquaintances. She is driven to become a blade mistress in her own right, carving out her own niche and making her own future. Her past is something she does not speak of often, but it is never forgotten. It is what she draws her strength from.
For months she shadowed members of the Grim, that legendary clan of enforcers that worked above and beyond the official policy of the Horde, picking the pockets of selected members of their order. This was done in part out of a practical desire to find her training however she also wished to gain their attention. One day she managed to pick the pocket of a forsaken woman she met in orgrimmar near the bank. She found out later that the woman was aware of her actions the entire time but said nothing. This woman turned out to be Lascivious, the former Mistress of the Grim herself.
Rather than admonish or apprehend Beutha, Lascivious sent her instead a generous sum of gold as a donation and a request for Beutha to come see her when she had grown sufficiently strong to apply for the Grim. Beutha redoubled her efforts and reached that milestone in short order.
After an interview with Lascivious and a testing of her skills by Anaie Beutha was taken in as a minion, working towards the day of her Inquisition. Along the way she struck up a friendship with the blood elf mage Setrema, the first person she ever felt could be considered a friend based on her limited knowledge of what the word means.
That day came and Beutha successfully satisfied the Inquisitor Acherontia with her dedication to the Mandate. She was accepted as a Warbringer of Vengeance.
