The Forsaken rogue known only as "Darkblade" has long been one of the assassins and scouts of the guild Infection, the sworn elite of the Dark Lady Sylvanas. At home in the shadows, she rather completes her tasks without being seen than in a blatant display, and as such is still largely unknown to the population of the Horde.

Disciplined to a fault, Darkblade's existence now is strictly her duty to Sylvanas and her own quest for revenge on Arthas. She has little time or desire for socializing and as such is usually found in the field, if at all.

The Forsaken rogue known as Darkblade was previously a young orphaned woman living in Stratholme. She always had a particularly vicious side to her, and reveled in her ability to kill (much to her instructor's dismay, whom was trying to teach her to be more subtle, and not just a wanton killer). Her teacher, known by the name Hawk Ravenwind, lead the thieves' guild in Stratholme. He was the only male figure in her life, and as much as she'd slice your throat for suggesting it, she was in love with him. The two of them were performing a simple mission when Arthas came upon the scene, "cleansing" the city. She watched Arthas kill Hawk, and then Prince went after her. Already unknowingly infected with the plague, she rose as part of the Scourge where she committed atrocities in the name of the Lich King. Sylvanas pulled her from that, and as such Darkblade owes her complete allegiance.
Shortly before the arrival of Kel'Thuzad and the dread citadel, Naxxramas, Darkblade was accosted by four Scourge horsemen. Before they could capture her, she was rescued by a shadow priest named Verzhud, whom was actually sent back in time from the near future by the bronze dragon Chronormu (aka Chromie). However, this would trigger a series of events unforeseen by the bronze dragon, and Darkblade herself would eventually be sent back to that same time to prevent her own rescue. She then returned to her own time only to find that her previous self, which she stopped the rescue of, was tortured for weeks inside of Naxxramas, but eventually did manage to escape. Her "temporal twin" returned as a priestess, and vowed to destroy the rogue as she blamed Darkblade for her own capture and torture.
Since then, the two have started to experience a confusing swapping of consciousnesses from time to time. Only recently have the two realized that they can use the other's abilities when this swapping occurs, even though each does not really know how to do them.
Also, the two have since reconciled their differences, as Ellenia discovered the truth behind what happened in the Plaguelands so long ago.
