[edit] What is the purpose of THEGA?
Even for large guilds, it can be difficult to get a group together at the spur of the moment to raid an end-game instance. People live in different time zones. A particular needed class might not be logged in. There may be 6 people online who want to do a 5 person instance. In these situations, it's often necessary to find someone outside of the guild who is looking for a group.
Often, the quality of the random person you pick up is ... well ... random. To solve this problem, a group of strong guilds willing to vouch for the quality of their people started THEGA. If you LFG in the THEGA channel, you can know that you are getting a decent player to join your raid.
[edit] How does it work?
THEGA's LFG channel is "THEGA". It is an out of character channel, to be used only to announce that you are either looking for a group, or that you are starting a group and what your preferences are. Join the channel, and announce what you need. For example:
"We've got 4 ready to hit Scholomance, and we need a healer. Rules are RP required, loot is need/greed."
"60 Hunter looking to join a UBRS group, holler if interested."
"Our warrior had to run due to RL, and we just got to the Baron in Strat Dead. Can anyone take his place? We can summon."
Etc ... etc ...
[edit] Who can use THEGA's LFG channel?
In order to make use of THEGA, your guild must be a full member of the group. This is to ensure that there is accountability for each person on every raid - if you act in a childish manner, your guild leader will be notified. Once your guild is part of THEGA, any member of your guild can participate.

Send mail to the THEGA Coordinator or any of the guild representatives.
