The Twisting Nether Gazette was created in November 2005, a few months after the opening of the Twisting Nether Realm. The primary purpose of the forum was to catalogue and preserve the excellent written RP that was being created by the players of Twisting Nether.

The Gazette was featured in the World of Warcraft Community Spotlight in November of 2006 and again in February of 2008.
